Roblox to let creators ship games as standalone apps and play in Chrome
At RDC 2026 Roblox announced 'Roblox Everywhere,' a push to let creators publish games as standalone apps on mobile, PC and consoles and to let players join experiences directly in Chrome without installing the Roblox app. Roblox said browser play will roll out by the end of 2026 and that the company will start with a select set of storefronts for standalone apps.
