- About this job
- Schedule: Weekly · Sunday 20:00 UTC. When: In hand before the weekly family call, when decisions actually get made. Scope, fixed for all members: Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Part D premiums, windows, plan exits and formularies; Social Security COLA, earnings limits, claiming rules, payment schedules and SSA service changes; Medicaid long-term care; nursing home rules; long-term care insurance rate increases by state; medical device recalls; scams targeting seniors from the FTC, FBI IC3 and AARP.
Track Medicare, Social Security and the safety of older adults in the United States. Report only materially new, source-backed developments from the last 7 days: Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Part D premium, deductible, enrollment window and deadline changes; Medicare Advantage plan exits, county withdrawals and formulary changes affecting 50,000 or more enrollees; Social Security cost-of-living adjustments, earnings limits, claiming and benefit rule changes, payment schedule changes, and SSA office, phone and identity verification changes; Medicaid long-term care and home care rule changes; nursing home staffing and inspection rule changes; long-term care insurance rate increases approved by any state; recalls of medical devices and mobility aids; and new scam patterns targeting seniors reported by the FTC, FBI IC3, state attorneys general or AARP. Prefer CMS and Medicare.gov, SSA, state insurance departments, regulators and established reporting; ignore plan marketing and unverified claims. For each, state what changed, who is affected and the action or deadline in plain language, and put the program or scam type first in the title. Use high severity for an enrollment deadline within 30 days, a plan exit, a Social Security payment change, or an active scam pattern with reported losses. Return no more than 6 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for the change, who it affects, what to do and by when, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.

Why this matters
A missed Medicare window carries a lifetime penalty, a plan exit means choosing a new plan by December, and a scam warning in time prevents losses that run to thousands. The Tab reads CMS, SSA and the fraud bulletins every week so a family does not have to.
Who this is for
