Recommended Tab
State and federal laws and rules taking effect in the next 30 days that change daily life, in plain language: driving, housing, work, shopping, phones, schools, taxes, health, pets and public spaces, with the state first, the date and what a resident should do differently.
A new hands-free law with a $200 fine, a right-to-repair rule, a rent cap, a paid leave benefit or a tax change is worth more than the membership when the member is the first to know.

State and federal laws and rules taking effect in the next 30 days that change daily life, in plain language: driving, housing, work, shopping, phones, schools, taxes, health, pets and public spaces, with the state first, the date and what a resident should do differently.
Track laws and rules taking effect in the United States. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days about federal and state laws, regulations and ordinances in the 50 largest cities taking effect within 30 days that change everyday life: driving and traffic, housing and renting, employment and pay, consumer protection and fees, phones and privacy, schools and children, taxes, health and insurance, pets and public spaces. Prefer state legislature and governor sites, state agencies, city councils, the Federal Register and established local reporting; ignore bills not yet signed, political commentary and laws without a practical effect on residents. Put the state or city first in the title with the effective date and the plain-language change. Use high severity for a law with fines over $100, a new benefit worth money, or a change affecting most residents of a state. Return no more than 10 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what changes, who it affects, what to do, the date, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
