Track chess and puzzle competition for US players. Report only confirmed, source-backed items from the last 7 days: registration windows, entry fee deadlines and schedules for the World Open, US Open, National Open, Chicago Open, North American Open, US Amateur, US Championship, state championships and US Chess scholastic nationals; US Chess rating, membership fee and rule changes; feature, price and fair play policy changes at Chess.com, Lichess, Chessable and ChessKid; FIDE world championship, candidates and Olympiad schedules and broadcast details; Titled Tuesday and online prize event changes; registration windows and dates for the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, Lollapuzzoola, Boswords, the US Puzzle Championship, the MIT Mystery Hunt and major puzzle hunts; chess club openings and closures in the 50 largest metros; cheating rulings and sanctions from US Chess or FIDE; and major book and set releases. Prefer organizer pages, US Chess, FIDE, platform announcements and established chess reporting; ignore unverified rumors. Put the event, platform or rule first in the title with the deadline or date. Use high severity for an early entry deadline within 10 days for a major open, a scholastic nationals registration deadline, a fee increase, or a fair play sanction against a well-known player. Return no more than 8 findings. Push each as a finding with a title, a two-sentence summary, sections for what it is, who qualifies, the fee, how to register, the deadline, and the source link. If nothing qualifies, push nothing and submit the run receipt.
